Principal Transition

God is leading us into a new season of ministry. We pray for God to bless every transition.

End of October Update

Due to a severe form of irreversible vision loss, our School Principal has announced that this will be his last year at St. John Lutheran School. We have been so blessed with Mr. Jay Lindsey’s leadership and care for our faculty and students. He is a passionate educator, a role model of servant leadership, and an example of our Christian faith. We give thanks for his 30+ years of service to the Lord’s Church and as an educator in Lutheran Schools. We pray God’s blessings upon him, his family, and our church and school ministry during this transition. Our Board of Directors is creating a transition plan and a path forward. We will continue to teach our community the love of Jesus and how to be Christian leaders in our midst. In all we do, we seek to live out our school motto: Learning for Life + Living for Christ.

December Update

Following the Constitution and Bylaws, the Board of Directors has created a Principal Call Committee. The Call Committee Members are Bill Lagacy (Chairman of the Board of Elders, Chairman of the Principal Call Committee), Todd Montaba (Congregational President), Pastor Schultz (Pastor, Ex-Officio), Pastor Thompson (Pastor, Advisory), Kim Jones (Member at Large), Tim Doherty (Member at Large), Bruce Lefeber (Chairman of the School Board), Lauren Begalke (School Board Member), Richard Brott (Board of Elders Member), and Richard Krueger (Board of Elders Member). The Principal Call Committee will interview our Assistant Principal, Libby MacGillis, in early December. Following the interview, the Principal Call Committee will provide the Board of Directors their recommendation on next steps.
