For Your Family
Families are a gift from God and we want to partner with your family to follow Jesus where He leads. St. John Lutheran is all about serving families.
Baptism
Holy Baptism is the applying of water (by pouring, sprinkling, immersion, etc.) in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. It is water connected with the command of God and the Word of God. Through Baptism, the Holy Spirit brings forgiveness of sins, faith in Jesus Christ, and eternal salvation. Baptism is not something we do for God; it is something God does for us. Adults are normally baptized after receiving instructions in the Christian faith. Children and infants are baptized with the commitment by parents and sponsors to continue to teach them the faith of Christ.
Sunday School
All Children (3K – 8th Grade) are invited to gather for Sunday School. These special classes provide opportunities to hear Bible stories, sing songs, make new friends, and learn of their Savior, Jesus Christ, in an age appropriate setting. Our mission is to help your child learn to love the God who created and saved them in Jesus. And we want to make lifelong memories and friendships along the way. Sunday School meets on Sunday (in the School classrooms) from 9:30-10:15 AM.
Confirmation
Confirmation classes are open to youth of the congregation and their friends. Confirmation instruction occurs in 6th, 7th, & 8th grade. During this time, youth are formally taught to best appreciate what God has done in their lives with the gift of faith begun at their baptism. After considerable study they are given the opportunity to “confirm” that faith and to dedicate themselves towards greater faith maturity, especially in confessing the truth of the Scriptures.

Retreats & Small Groups
Becoming more like Jesus never grows old. Faith forms as children sing “Jesus loves me. – As youth stretch through creative programs – And as adults test out new ideas. We believe that our lives are better with one another and as we are connected to God’s Word.
We value retreats, small groups, and intentional opportunities to build connections and deepen our love for the Lord.
Wedding
Marriage is one of the greatest blessings that God has given us. It was instituted by God at the beginning of creation and continues to be a reflection of His love for this world through His Son. We believe that a wedding is more than just a ceremony or ritual. In a wedding, a couple makes sacred vows of life-long faithfulness to one another and begins their new life, joined together by God.
