To the Saints at St. John Lutheran Church & School,
With great joy and the conviction that God has called me to His service in your midst, I herewith announce my acceptance of the Call which you have extended to me to serve as your next Senior Pastor. In this new role, I will continue to faithfully serve both the Lord and His people. I am honored and humbled to be your pastor.
I appreciate your love for our Lord, the school ministry, the outreach and service to others, the desire to faithfully serve all of God's people, and your renewed focus in sharing Jesus with the community.
Plymouth is a great place to raise and grow a family. Over the last nine years, our city and church family have become our home. We have been blessed by you. We have a very special congregation. The people are the best! I so love our life together in service to the Lord and to the community at large. Your kind words, confidence in my abilities, patience, and lavish love towards my family is contagious. I want to care for others like you continue to care for me.
Consider the words from Psalm 121 (verses 2, 7, 8):
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
Indeed, our help comes from the Lord. We trust that He will keep us. We are confident that He will keep St. John Lutheran. We will continue to be a people of prayer seeking the Lord's help in every circumstance, in the current transition, and in every endeavor that He leads.
I look forward in many more years of seeking the Lord's help and in serving you as Senior Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church & School.
Lots of Love in Jesus,
Pastor John Schultz
