Learning at St. John Lutheran Church
Are you looking for a place to belong? People to grow alongside and make a difference in the world? Friendships that could change your life? We invite you to explore St. John Lutheran – find your next step – and discover the meaningful ways that Jesus will shape you in order to bless others.
New Member Welcome Event
The New Member Welcome Event … is where it all begins. Over breakfast and lunch, we’ll answer your questions, introduce you to church leaders, and share how God is moving in and through the people of St. John Lutheran. Whether you are exploring Christianity for the first time or have been a long-time believer, our conversations together will assist you in your walk with the Lord.

Kids' Ministry
All Children (3K – 5th Grade) are invited to gather for Kids Ministry time. These special classes provide opportunities to hear Bible stories, sing songs, make new friends, and learn of their Savior, Jesus Christ, in an age appropriate setting. Our mission is to help your child learn to love the God who created and saved them in Jesus. And we want to make lifelong memories and friendships along the way. Kids Ministry groups meet on Sunday (in the School classrooms) from 9:30-10:15 AM.

Confirmation
Confirmation classes are open to youth of the congregation and their friends. Confirmation instruction occurs in 6th, 7th, & 8th grade. During this time, youth are formally taught to best appreciate what God has done in their lives with the gift of faith begun at their baptism. After considerable study they are given the opportunity to “confirm” that faith and to dedicate themselves towards greater faith maturity, especially in confessing the truth of the Scriptures.

Sunday Morning Education for All
Jr. High students (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) are invited to attend a Bible class just for them. Every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:15 students are led through understanding the Bible and how God’s Word shapes our lives. Mrs. Paula Huebschman leads this group in the conference room next to the school cafeteria.
Sr. High students (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade) have a Bible class in the youth room during the education time on Sunday mornings. From 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM, High School students read through and discuss the many books of the Bible…bit by bit. Being a part of this class helps in reinforcing a strong Faith base.
Adults are encouraged to come to the cafeteria to participate in a Bible class led alternately by Pastors Schultz and Thompson. Sometimes the conversation is guided by the Pastors and sometimes the conversation is guided by questions from the attendees. Every week provides a thoughtful experience to dwell on through the week.
